Group Tours at the End of the Oregon Trail
An interpretive center differs from a traditional museum setting by attempting to bring history to life. When you visit the End of the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center, you will be guided through seated theatrical presentations lasting 60-75 minutes by a Living History Interpreter. After the guided portion of your visit, your group will be free to enjoy our rotating exhibit hall, the general store, and displays of the tools and toys of yesterday in the Willamette Trades & Craft Workshop.
Reservations
The minimum group size is 12 paid admissions; the maximum is 70. In order to ensure availability, group tour reservations should be made at least two weeks in advance and confirmed with a 20% deposit no later than one week prior to the date of your reservation. The balance will be due upon arrival. To make a reservation, contact Group Services...

Hours of operation at the Interpretive Center vary seasonally, but note that we often open the facility early during the rainy season to accomodate group tours. Contact our Group Services staff at 503-657-9336 x105 for available dates and showtimes. Tour planners should be aware that during the school year, the 9 AM and 10 AM weekday slots fill up quickly.

Arrivals
Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your reserved presentation time. You will need this time to complete your reservation. This is also a good time to use the restrooms, which are not available during the presentation. The presentation begins promptly! If your group arrives late, we may not be able to accomodate you, as later scheduled groups may cause a space conflict.
Group leaders must check in at the ticket counter in George Abernethy's general store in order to register the group's arrival and make the final payment for admission. While the group leader is checking in, the group may proceed to the Missouri Terrace, where the presentation begins. One of our Living History Interpreters will meet your group there.
Refunds
Individual admission passes will be issued for members of your group unable to attend the day of your reservation.
Cancellations
Should you need to cancel your reservation, please contact the Group Services Coordinator at least 5 business days prior to your reservation.
No shows will be billed for the amount indicated on the tour confirmation form.
